how does the ranking work?
every station is ranked by net gain — the actual value of choosing it after price, real road distance, detour cost, your vehicle's fuel grade and weather-adjusted mpg, and route ETA when available. the top card is the best deal, not just the cheapest sign.
what changed in v1.1?
real road distance from Apple's routing rather than crow-flight, route ETA when available, truck stop mode for Pilot/Love's/TA/Petro/Maverik, fuel grade filtering, weather-adjusted mpg, amenity breakdowns, a larger navigation button, and a 1–30 mi / 1–50 km search radius slider.
where is my data stored?
vehicle settings and preferences remain local by default. free search needs no account; optional homadic+ and verified gas contributions use rb labs infrastructure for sign-in, evidence checks, settlement, and review credits. we do not run ads, use third-party analytics SDKs, or expose individual route histories to merchants.
what is truck stop mode?
when enabled, homadic filters for actual truck-friendly stations — pilot, love's, ta, petro, maverik — instead of stations that happen to have one diesel pump. results may be more sparse, so you might want to work with the distance slider to find your rhythm.
can i filter by fuel grade?
yes. regular, midgrade, premium, or diesel. the price you see and the savings math match the grade you actually pump.
can i use homadic with an electric vehicle?
yes — we have ev charging station data from google places. coverage and accuracy are expanding as we learn and develop. gas and hybrid vehicles are more mature right now, but ev support is actively growing.
why does homadic ask for my location?
location is used in the moment to find nearby options and weather. optional verified gas captures submit specific location and timing evidence for that contribution. homadic does not need a continuous driving trail or expose individual route histories to merchants.
how do i clear all my data?
go to settings and tap "clear all my data." you'll get a confirmation prompt before anything is deleted. this wipes your vehicle settings, frequent stops, theme, and price history from your device instantly.
is homadic hospital search medical advice?
no. homadic helps locate nearby care options and is not medical advice, emergency dispatch, or a substitute for emergency services. for a medical emergency, call emergency services.
are review credits money?
no. review credits are non-transferable contribution records with no cash value today. gas is currently the only verified contribution category.
does homadic work offline?
your vehicle settings, frequent stops, and cached price data are all available offline. live fuel prices, road routing, and weather require a connection to fetch fresh data.
